Our mandate for the music festival’s third edition was to capitalize on the brand’s established unabashed tone and personality. So we decided to work with Caserne, a local design studio, and illustrator Brother Merle to create a crew of colourful animated characters based on local suburb-inspired clichés with a satirical twist. This allowed us to equip the brand with a range of engaging fictional voices that gave the festival the capacity to tailor activations, editorial content and marketing campaigns in unique new ways. In the name of burbs, amen.
